The benefit of being a website that’s been around for a while now, we get to follow the arrests, court proceedings, and ultimately convictions and sentencing as they occur in these cases. Most of these female teacher sex cases never go to trial. These teachers are clearly reviled in their local communities and stand a very strong chance of conviction at trial, assuming even half the evidence is valid.
Jessica Langford, a Miamisburg, Ohio, middle school teacher was busted last summer for engaging in sexual acts with a fourteen-year old student on the final day of the 2016-2017 school year. The teacher and her young student initially exchanged phone numbers for educational purposes, which became Snapchat, which became sex chat, which became sex in Ms. Lansford’s locked classroom on the final day of school. Why not send the kid off to the summer with a bang. Yes, that’s literal and figurative.
An investigation ensued when the boy told his dad who told on Langford. School officials checked surveillance camera footage to confirm the two entering the classroom and quickly Langford was relieved of her teaching duties and the matter turned over to police. Langford was charged with three counts of sexual battery on a minor and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct, all serious charges. It originally looked as if Langford was going to plead guilty and work out a deal, but she chose to go to trial, for which she was found this past week to be guilty as hell on all counts. She now faces sentencing in May where she faces up to 30 years in prison, though clearly that won’t be the final outcome, it was enough to make her sob in court.
