Technically, Jonesboro, Arkansas high school art teacher, Jessie Lorene Goline, 25, wasn’t on the hook for the majority of her sex with students adventures during the course of early 2016 where she engaged in sex with three students from her own Marked Tree High School, and one student from a neighboring school district, including two boys at one time. Three of the four boys in question were 18 years of age, and Arkansas does not yet have a law forbidding teacher sex with of-age consenting teen boys. But, alas, one of the students turned out to be 17 when the married young teacher took him to her bedroom. Goline claims she was certain he was 18; but clearly never checked ID.
From our original article on Goline’s arrest in the Fall of 2017 after one boy copped to the sexual relationship:
“Goline’s encounters during 2016 with these various boys includes picking one up at school during the day for a quickie back at her apartment, and later that same day, meeting with another boy for sex again at her abode. That’s called double dipping in teacher-student illicit sexual relations parlance.”
At the time she was caught, Goline somewhat famously insisted to the school principal that she wasn’t going to lose her husband over these tawdry affairs. No update on where hubby is now six months later in the process. But if you’re a better man, bet on the fact that Goline was probably overly optimistic in her initial claims.
Goline accepted a plea deal this week on the one count of sex with a boy under the age of eighteen, for which she will receive 42-months probation and her name in that blessed book of criminal sex offenders. That latter part can really put some hurdles toward your happy future life. Some might argue it’s a bit of a massive punishment for hopping into four young men and finding out later one of them was not quite a legal man yet. Though it might encourage future high school art teachers to be more careful in selecting their group student sex partners.
