Giving away the dramatic ending, the 11-year old daughter of a Tulsa woman whose mom stabbed her fifty times, hit her over the head with a pickaxe and then set the home on fire leaving her wounded daughter inside managed to survive the attack. The girl remains in critical condition at a local hospital with all the nasty wounds you might expect, fortunately from a smaller type knife or kitchen utensil stabbings.
Taheerah Ahmad, 39, can best be described as mostly or entirely insane, based on the reports of her three daughters who were bound and gagged in her home after what they describe as a week’s worth of lockup and food and water denial by their own mother for punishment for something or other. At the end of the week she bound and gagged all of the girls, and when the elder daughter, 11, complained, that’s when the savage stabbings began. According to reports, the mom thought the girls were reading something they shouldn’t and staring at her. Hence crazy.
One or two of the girls managed to escape to safety before the stabbings, as mom took off with her youngest, age 7 or 8, in tow, leaving behind her eldest in the burning home. Good Samaritans later spotted the young girl locked in her mom’s car in Tulsa and called the police, which led them back to the home where they rescued the eldest daughter and brought her to the hospital. Ahmad is being held on arson, child abuse, and battery and attempted murder charges. You’d suspect she’s also being run through a series of psych screenings to see how sane she is.
Happy belated Mother’s Day!
