Preschool Teacher Shannon McCune, Boss Picked Up On Child Cruelty Charges Shannon McCune, some believe, is one of the worst kinds of predator. That is because she allegedly committed acts of child abuse while in the employ of Foundations Christian Preschool in Columbia County, Ga. Every parent’s worst nightmare — that the people they trust to take care of their children during the day are doing horrible things to them — may have been realized when the 27-year-old had her way. Potentially worse, Melinda Sue Williams, the 34-year-old preschool director, knew of the alleged abuses and failed to report them to police. Now both women are in the care of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

She allegedly struck the 4-year-old across the back with a flagpole, leaving bruises, and, on several occasions, grabbed the older child by the arm, and hit him with a yard stick.

here Both sets of parents complained about possible child abuse by someone in Williams’ employ. One parent even sent pictures of the markings to Williams, but, as required by state law to do so, she failed to file a report with the Division of Family and Children Services.
