Killer Nurse Genene Jones Accused of Killing Even More Kids Genene Jones hasn’t been in the news for a while, but when it rains, it pours. Jones, dubbed by the media as the Killer Nurse, was charged with murdering an 11-month-old boy last month, and has just been charged in the death of a 2-year-old girl as well. These charges stem back to crimes Jones allegedly committing in the 1980s, and stand to put a damper on her 2018 release from prison.

She is now 66 years old, and has been in prison since she was convicted in the 1982 murder of one child and the intentional sickening of another. However, due to a mandatory release law at the time of her conviction, Jones would have been a free woman come spring of next year.

Some suspect she may have killed at many as 60 children, as several young patients of hospitals where Jones worked died either during or after her shift under suspicious circumstances. Jones’ M.O. was to inject drugs into the children, then sweep in for the rescue as they teetered on the brink of death. These rescues, as evidence as shown, were not always successful.
