It’s been a long, hard fall from grace for Playboy model Dani Mathers, 29, who was tried and found to be a garbage monster in the court of the Internet several weeks ago. But now, Dani has been charged with an actual crime.

It all began in July, when Dani was at an L.A. Fitness gym in North Hollywood, working on her physique. Which, if you’re interested, can be seen in several magazine, as Dani was Playboy Playmate 2015. But rather than appreciate her own body, Dani took a moment to disparage another’s. In the locker room, Dani took a sneaky photo of a naked woman in her 70s without the woman’s knowledge of consent. The image contained the caption, “If I can’t unseen this then you can’t either.”

Then, Dani posted the image to Snapchat. Her followers immediately took her to town, calling her out for the weird and malicious post. Like, seriously, who does that? Dani was quick to provide literally the world’s worst apology: she hadn’t meant to Snapchat the mean photo to everyone; rather, she’d intended to just send it to one person. So, everyone who was calling her a shallow, mean asshole was right, but Dani had never meant for them to find out! Unsurprisingly, that only made the Internet hate her more.

Regardless of Dani’s intentions, taking a photograph of a nude person without their consent in an area where they should expect a reasonable amount of privacy—like oh, ya know, a gym locker room—is still a crime. After much hubbub, Dani’s alleged victim eventually came forward to the LAPD. Though the victim’s name has not been released, she has been described as a woman in her 70s. Now, with a victim willing and able to press charges, Dani is on the hook for one count of invasion of privacy. For this crime, she faces up to six months in jail and fines. Dani has also been banned from every L.A. Fitness in existence, and everyone hates her. She will be arraigned later this month.
