Music teacher, Ruth Baggetta, 35, and her music teaching husband, Nicodemo Baggetta, 29, were both arrested in Pennsylvania for sexual relations with a sixteen year old girl that the Mr. Baggetta met through his school, the Fell Charter School, in Lackawanna County, PA. The Mrs. teaches across town at the Lakeland Junior/Senior High School.
The two stand accused of a long term sexual relationship with a teenaged girl, with the male Baggetta performing most of the illicit sexual acts, while Mrs. Baggetta aided and abetted, encouraging the girl to partake in the activity with her husband, including the provision of booze and weed. According to the police reports, at some point toward the conclusion of this tawdry engagement, Ruth Baggetta herself did become physically involved with the girl as well.
Both Baggettas charmed the parents of the female victim, assuring them their interest was entirely academic and mentoring. Thus the parents gave the Baggettas plenty of time alone with their daughter, whom they wined and dined and bought expensive gifts, in addition to the lubricating elixirs.
Once caught, both Ruth and Nicodemo Baggetta were charged with institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. Ruth Baggetta was also charged with failure to report sexual abuse of a student, which of course, her husband was committing. Both teachers are promptly suspended from their respective schools and are awaiting an arraignment in court coming up next week.
